Mobile Applications Development Course and Workshop with HTML5 and jQuery
Mobile Application Development with HTML5 and jQuery will be the topic of the workshop presented by Professor Mark DuBois, WebProfessionals.org Director of Education taking place at Bunker Hill Community College the Week of August 6 – August 11, 2012. The Summer Institutes are no cost, professional development courses offered for technology high school teachers and college faculty in Massachusetts. Courses will be offered at Bristol Community College, Bunker Hill Community College, Quinsigamond Community College, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the University of Massachusetts Boston.
This full week workshop focuses on Mobile Application Development and why it is becoming more important to understand, and even put to use. As the open standard for Web applications, HTML5 takes markup to a new level, requiring Web developers and designers to re-examine the way they’ve worked in the past to make their designs more responsive to mutli-screen environments.
This workshop helps to demystify HTML5 and jQuery as well as provide actual insight into how to begin using aspects of the language in Mobile Application Development today. The Summer Working Connections workshop is jointly sponsored by a grant funded by the Dol and National Science Foundation that is underwriting the event for community college faculty.
Sample outcomes include:
