Empowering technical, creative & business-savvy web professionals and those that teach since 1997
As a non-profit professional association with a legacy spanning over 25 years, Web Professionals Global (originally the World Organization of Webmasters) is dedicated to supporting the individuals and organizations that create, manage, and market the digital world. We bridge the gap between education and industry by fostering professional standards, providing vendor-neutral international certifications, and advocating for a high-quality, sustainable web ecosystem. Through our global community of designers, developers, and educators, we provide the resources, technical validation, and ethical framework needed to stay competitive in an ever-evolving information technology landscape.
Whether you are an aspiring student, an experienced developer, or a dedicated educator, we are here to support your journey with a focus on Community, Education, and Certification. In an era of rapid technological shifts—from AI-assisted workflows to privacy-first architectures—our mission is to provide you with the industry-recognized credentials and professional network needed to lead with confidence. Explore our resources, join our global community, and let’s build a better, more accessible web together. Click Here to Learn More About Membership
Members and non-members (those just visiting our site) are encouraged to sign our code of ethics. Don’t forget to check the box at the top of the survey (we try to prevent bots where possible).
We are honored to be recognized as an O*Net ally. This means our organization helped to identify occupational experts who could be surveyed about their work in the occupation (such as web developer and web administrator).
We are also honored to be recognized as an official partner with SkillsUSA. We have been working with SkillsUSA for over 2 decades and have been working with their members at both the state and national level as we run many web design and development competitions.

We celebrate our members. Since 1996, our members have continued to help us grow; they also help shape our mission. As a professional association it goes without saying that we would be nothing without our robust and diverse membership. Thank you to all for being with us on this journey. FYI – we feature a new member every minute (below).
